Outreach
The Critical
Groundwater Taskforce has teamed up with the
Oregon
State University Institute for
Water and Watersheds to provide
educational materials about groundwater in the Umatilla Basin. Below
are links to resources - material will be added throughout Fall 2006.
Please note that documents are saved in PDF format - to open them you
will need to download and install the free program Adobe
Reader. The photo on the right is of Todd Jarvis using the
groundwater model.
Outreach Opportunities and Materials:
- Interactive Presentation About
Groundwater - Bring a groundwater model (equiped with a
professional hydrologist) to your classroom or meeting! The
presentation helps participants visualize how groundwater moves and is
stored underground. Read details in this flyer - UmatillaGroundwaterDemo.pdf
(29k) or read thank you letters from a participating classrooms (McKay_Creek_Elementary.pdf (900k);
Ione.pdf (688k)).
