The Umatilla County Fair Board is pleased to announce the following
Court Members from left to right:
Princess Katie Primmer, Queen Rebecca
Lindstrom,
Princess Kylee Jenson,Princess Krysten, and Princess
Amy Howland
Queen Rebecca
Lindstrom of Pendleton, is the 18 year old daughter of
John and Ronna Lindstrom; She has a younger brother Austin and an older
sister Bree. Rebecca was born and raised in Oregon and attended various
public school, graduating from Pendleton High School in 2009. Rebecca
attends BMCC while working at D&B Supply part time. She has done
extensive volunteer work, with horses and her goal is to spend the rest
of her life in a small community and continue to stay involved in the
community she lives. Since moving to Pendleton when she was 13 she has
volunteered at the Pendleton Round-Up as a Pennant Bearer and helped
with the construction of the Hall of Fame and the hospitality room.
Queen Rebecca’s other involvement has been at The Mustanger’s and with
Pendleton FFA. At Mustanger’s Rebecca competed in events, but also
helped clean up of the grounds and in the cook shack along with helping
with the children’s events, While attending Pendleton High School
Rebecca competed in Oregon High School Rodeo. Prior to moving to
Pendleton, Rebecca was involved in Horse 4H in Yamhill County.
Currently her classes at BMCC are centered on agriculture and business.
Queen Rebecca will graduate form BMCC this year and transfer to a
4-year university.
Princess Amy Howland
is the 17 years old daughter of Mike and Diana
Howland of Pendleton. Princess Amy is a junior at Pendleton High
School, and involved in FFA. Amy enjoys being outdoors whether it’s
hunting or riding horses! She is very excited to be representing the
Umatilla County Fair this year, and has wanted to be on the court since
she was in sixth grade and noticed and admired the court at the fair
and thought “WOW” I am going to be one of them someday. Princess Amy
cannot be more excited to be a Princess on the court of her dreams.
Princess Amy will be graduating from Pendleton High School the Spring
of 2011.
Princess Krysten
Powell is the 17-year-old daughter of Annette
Powell and Michael and Debbie Powell, all of Pendleton. She is
currently a Junior at Pendleton High School where she has been involved
in Track and Field and Drama. Last year she participated in the PHS
production of “And Then There Were None”. Princess Krysten is a member
of the Blue Mountain Paint Horse Club, in which she received the
High-Point 14-18 Award for 2009. Her official Court Mount is a
9-year-old APHA mare, Billy’s Painted Barlnk, affectionately known as
Patches. Together, they have won many high-point and series awards in
Western Pleasure and Equitation, Hunt Seat Pleasure and Equitation and
Trail classes at open shows. Princess Krysten has been active in 4-H
for the last 7 years, showing small animals, llamas and horses. At the
2009 Umatilla County Fair, she was the Grand Champion Cavy, Furry
Critter and Llama showman, Reserve Grand Champion Rabbit showman, and
the Cavy and Furry Critter Grand Champion Exhibitor. Upon graduating
from high school, Princess Krysten plans to attend Texas A&M
University majoring in Elementary Education, and will pursue
certification in Administration, hoping to be an elementary school
principal.
Princess Katie
Primmer is the daughter of Connie and Brian Andrews
of Stanfield, Oregon, and Gary and Billie Primmer of Irrigon, Oregon.
She is currently a senior at Stanfield Secondary School where she has
participated in softball, cheer-leading, band, student teachers aid,
and FFA. Katie gives back to the community by donating blood to Red
Cross and community service projects through 4-H and FFA. Katie has
been involved with the Umatilla County Fair for the last six years in
4-H and FFA. She was the outstanding FFA swine exhibitor in 2007 at
Umatilla Co. Fair, and in 2009 at Pendleton Jr. Show. She has shown
swine, horse, and photography at the fair. In FFA she has done sales
and service, and attended state and national conventions. She has been
awarded her state degree and gotten top honors in livestock judging.
Katie loves spending time with friends and family. She loves everything
outside including hunting, fishing, boating, motorcycling,
snowboarding, riding her horse, and raising Basset Hounds. Katie plans
to enroll at Blue Mountain Community College in the fall to pursue a
career as a dental assistant.
Princess Kylee
Jensen of Pilot Rock, Oregon is the daughter of Karl
and Jeannie Jensen and the older sister of Laney. She is an annual
participant in the Umatilla County Fair dating back to the fourth
grade. Kylee shows hogs with the Pilot Rock Woolly Wranglers 4-H Club
and the Pilot Rock FFA Chapter. As a junior at Pilot Rock High School,
she is
involved with volleyball, basketball, softball, National Honor Society,
and Leadership class. Princess Kylee,is also a member of the Peace
Lutheran Church Youth Group in Pendleton. She enjoys hanging out with
friends, horseback riding, four-wheeling, and traveling. Kylee’s Her
future plans include graduating high school in the spring of 2011 and
attending college at Oregon State University.
