All offenders supervised in Umatilla County will have access to all
services and sanctions offered by Community Corrections on an as needed
basis. The Community Corrections Center serves as a middle ground
between jail detention and supervision in
the community.
Offenders may be placed in the center after probation and/or
parole/post prison supervision revocation, as a sanction for violation
of conditions of supervision, as an initial condition of supervision,
or for a period of transition from jail or prison. Each offender will
be subject to a complete assessment of his/her needs, and a case plan
will be developed with specific measurable goals for addressing those
needs during the stay at the center. This will be developed during
staffing between the offender, the operations supervisor, and the
supervising officer. The center provides a residential atmosphere with
work release activities, as well as structured programming. Operations
and programs at the center will be designed to accustom offenders to
the patterns and expectations of a law abiding life style.
